Seton Catholic Central: 62
Chenango Valley: 52

The Chenango Valley Warriors boys’ varsity basketball team lost to the Seton Catholic Central Saints in a much anticipated, high energy game. Chenango Valley came out big in the first quarter, toppling the Seton defense that is rumored to be one of the best in STAC. The CV faithful got into the game early on, which helped carry the Warriors to a 30-21 point lead at the half. At halftime, 8/10 players for CV had scored, and were led by Tommy Hull with 8 points. The game was very close, however CV’s turnovers and fouls led to only 5 points in the 3rd quarter, killing the lead they once had. Chenango Valley was then outscored 41-22 in the second half, quieting the crowd and ruining the Warriors’ rhythm. Strangely quite on offense this game were Mike Ball and Matt Bobal, combining for only 6 points. Matt Mullins scored 15 for the Warriors, and had 12 rebounds. The Warriors are now (2-2)
Leading performers for Chenango Valley:
Matt Mullins – 15 points, 12 rebounds, 7/12 free throws
Tommy Hull – 13 points, 6 rebounds
Matt Bobal – 8 rebounds
