Chenango Valley Warriors: 6
Norwich Purple Tornado: 0

The varsity baseball season finally arrived, and the Warriors are looking at a fantastic start. After a trio of CV pitchers (Dan Pendleton, Derek Stupski, Eric Bidwell) no-hit STAC Metro favorite Binghamton in a 5-0 victory, today they one-hit Norwich with the help of Brian Eggleston in place of Pendleton. One member of the varsity squad told The Warrior Report that he would surely go yard in the game. He did. Brian Stinson hit a monstrous two-run homer in the 3rd inning that was measured as 430 ft. Adding to the score was a three-run home-run by Derek Stupski in the bottom of the 6th – Norwich never saw it coming. Next up for the Warriors (2-0) is at Whitney Point tomorrow. Look for big things to come from a team that has hit three home-runs in two games (Mike Biviano, Stinson, Stupski).
